“Correction from the Word of God is not an attack; it is an opportunity to grow and become better.”
The Bible declares in II Timothy 3:16 (KJV), “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
“Correction is not condemnation. It is love in action. When the Word reproves us, it is not to destroy us but to develop us. God does not correct His children to shame them, but to shape them.
The writer of Hebrews 12:6 (KJV) says, “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth.” If God did not care, He would leave us in our sin. But because He loves us, He speaks, He convicts, and He refines our hearts like gold in the fire.
“Many times our flesh feels attacked when truth confronts us. Yet the Word is a mirror, showing us who we are so we may become who God calls us to be. Correction breaks pride, builds character, and brings us closer to Christ.
“Let us not resist the hammer of God’s Word upon our hearts. For when He corrects us, He is crafting us. When He reproves us, He is restoring us. And when we receive His correction with humility, we grow in righteousness and become better for His glory...”
Amen.
